What is behind TCM?
What is TCM all about.
In China, doctors are trained in parallel and on an equal footing in two specialties. Either you decide to become a doctor for conventional medicine, or for traditional Chinese medicine, called TCM for short. Both are courses of study at universities and both are recognized on an equal footing. So you can decide whether you want to be treated with conventional medicine or traditionally. Certainly, this decision also depends on the respective clinical picture.
Should an surgery inevitably have to be performed, of course, no needles will help. However, TCM can then be helpful in recovery, as well as in many functional disorders and allergies. The therapeutic methods of TCM include Chinese drug therapy and acupuncture as well as moxibustion (heating of acupuncture points). Together with massage techniques such as Tuina, with movement exercises such as Qigong and Taiji and with a dietetics based on the effective profile of the drugs, the procedures are now often referred as the five columns of Chinese therapy.
TCM is the traditional medicine with the largest distribution area, especially acupuncture is practiced worldwide today. Later on, I will introduce you to these methods more detailed.
The treatment with TCM agents is gentle and in harmony with our natural body functions. It is based on the flow of energy along the body meridians, the flow of Qi in the tension of Yin and Yang. It has developed in China over more than 2000 years until today.
In the various courses of my Academy I impart this knowledge and the practical application of the methods.
